BackAgain's Humberto van Nieuwstadt got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in vv Het Kuikentje Piept's zone, Simon Deijkers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogier van den Akker came out of the goal and Simon Deijkers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute of the match Jan Jongsma sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogier van den Akker skillfully saved the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Deijkers made a kick off. Rogier van den Akker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luuk van der Aa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Humberto Langenbach fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored vv Het Kuikentje Piept's protests and gave Humberto Langenbach a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of vv Het Kuikentje Piept:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BackAgain:s goal. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for BackAgain. In the 79th minute of the match Bennie Ploeger sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogier van den Akker skillfully saved the ball. vv Het Kuikentje Piept's Rogier van den Akker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luuk van der Aa in the 82nd minute of play. The penalty shot was made by Ate Landman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of BackAgain's Edgard Mols. 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BackAgain fans cheered their team off the field, for while vv Het Kuikentje Piept had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
