But to his dismay, Harald Neijsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of fc kerkrade booed when Gendijk HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Schie didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hans Heijer was the one to do the kick off. Hans Heijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Frans Schreuder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Gendijk HC's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Neijsen came free, but Frans Schreuder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hans Heijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurice Siemers charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurice Siemers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gendijk HC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. After 65 played minutes, fc kerkrade's Izaak Stubbe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frans Schreuder came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in fc kerkrade reached it. Harald Neijsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Frans Schreuder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Heijer's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Frans Schreuder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Neijsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rdth minute of the game Hans Heijer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gendijk HC's Frans Schreuder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frans Schreuder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harald Neijsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gendijk HC's Gijsbert Abbekerk got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 80th match minute, Gendijk HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Nijhof to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gendijk HC booed when fc kerkrade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izaak Stubbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boukjan Grijp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Kleinman having to interfere. The fc kerkrade fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gendijk HC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
