Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dodewaard SV's Elco Hoffhuis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Martien de Vlieger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gido Meijering's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elco Hoffhuis in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martien de Vlieger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin van Zeist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henny Kinear, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Gido Tamminga charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gido Tamminga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Gido Tamminga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Aufwiederschnitzel booed when Dodewaard SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gido Tamminga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Pieter Haas got free in front of the goal in the 11th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Martin van Zeist was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Pieter Haas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Martin van Zeist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Henny Kinear had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Dodewaard SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ed van Baarle to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henny Kinear in the 26th minute of play forced Dodewaard SV's goalkeeper Martin van Zeist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pieter Haas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin van Zeist having to interfere. With his leg Martin van Zeist managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Aufwiederschnitzel's Pieter Haas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Gido Meijering managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dodewaard SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Gido Meijering was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martien de Vlieger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elroy Bosz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henny Kinear to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, one of Dodewaard SV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dodewaard SV. Martin van Zeist had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Jos Boeringe's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Dodewaard SV defense, Jos Boeringe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin van Zeist. The Dodewaard SV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin van Zeist should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Dodewaard SV's Elco Hoffhuis got a free kick in the 64th minute. The supporters of Dodewaard SV booed when Aufwiederschnitzel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pieter Haas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 minutes, Daan Driessens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dodewaard SV and the Aufwiederschnitzel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dodewaard SV's Daan Driessens got a free kick in the 70th minute. Henny Kinear received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Martin van Zeist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henny Kinear recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 81 minutes of play, Aufwiederschnitzel's Pieter Haas made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin van Zeist was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Henny Kinear in the 88th minute of play forced Dodewaard SV's goalkeeper Martin van Zeist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aufwiederschnitzel's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
