After 17 minutes, Ralf Hovenkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aufwiederschnitzel and the Ad Mortuum Mei Bibi Y.A. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martien de Vlieger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurits Verhoeven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pieter Haas in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dolf Sloothaak during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pieter Steelman in the 38th minute of play forced Aufwiederschnitzel's goalkeeper Martien de Vlieger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Pieter Steelman lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Martien de Vlieger. The supporters of Aufwiederschnitzel booed when Ad Mortuum Mei Bibi Y.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pieter Steelman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Roger Stolte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martien de Vlieger. Aufwiederschnitzel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Aufwiederschnitzel's zone, Pieter Steelman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martien de Vlieger came out of the goal and Pieter Steelman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Pieter Steelman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pieter Steelman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 67 minutes, Bart Tellingen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ad Mortuum Mei Bibi Y.A.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Bart Tellingen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elroy Bosz's late challenge caught a Ad Mortuum Mei Bibi Y.A.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elroy Bosz helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Aufwiederschnitzel got a freekick which was hit by Elroy Bosz. Aufwiederschnitzel's Elroy Bosz got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Pieter Haas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bart Tellingen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute.
