Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edwin Lodewijks got the match started through his kick off. Sjaak Bot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izaak Aalst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 played minutes Oosterhuis HC got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Pik. Sjaak Bot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Barels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Oosterhuis HC's Patrick Vennegoor got a free kick in the 11th minute. Sjaak Bot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Barels, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Harm Spiljard hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Izaak Aalst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sjaak Bot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwan Boeve in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Oosterhuis HC's zone, Herman Barels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sjaak Bot came out of the goal and Herman Barels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herman Barels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sjaak Bot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izaak Aalst in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Oosterhuis HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Vennegoor to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Oosterhuis HC defense, Izaak Aalst kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sjaak Bot. The Oosterhuis HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sjaak Bot should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute Izaak Aalst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sjaak Bot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Oosterhuis HC's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Barels came free, but Sjaak Bot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Izaak Aalst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sjaak Bot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herman Barels made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Lodewijks in the 55th minute of play forced SVZ Zeijen's goalkeeper Rogier Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute Edwin Lodewijks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogier Degens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fokke Nijemanting recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudolf Pik during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Oosterhuis HC's Rudolf Pik got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Oosterhuis HC's Edwin Lodewijks in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SVZ Zeijen's goalie prevented a goal. After 68 minutes, Patrick Vennegoor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oosterhuis HC and the SVZ Zeijen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Patrick Vennegoor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Geert Arend Sándor from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got Sjaak Bot's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 70 minutes in the game, Herman Barels fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sjaak Bot having to interfere. Herman Barels kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Herman Barels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sjaak Bot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rein Holst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
