Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ernest Nieuwburg made the kick off and thus started the match. After 4 minutes of play, DSS Heemskerk's Menno Ginneken made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogier Perk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Menno Ginneken took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogier Perk. Rogier Perk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 18th minute, DSS Heemskerk's Peter Schol dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Andy Hateboer put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Henny Brugmans. After 29 played minutes Steggerda got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Nieuwburg. In the 31st minute, Menno Ginneken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Steggerda getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ferdi Maasland hit a great ball. Menno Ginneken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Henny Brugmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Hateboer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andy Hateboer in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henny Brugmans saved DSS Heemskerk from getting behind. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 45th minute, but Rogier Perk got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Steggerda hanging dry this time. Andy Hateboer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henny Brugmans having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Menno Ginneken made a kick off. Steggerda's Ernest Nieuwburg got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Menno Ginneken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Menno Ginneken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rogier Perk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernest Nieuwburg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henny Brugmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Menno Ginneken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernest Nieuwburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henny Brugmans having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, DSS Heemskerk's goalkeeper Henny Brugmans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andy Hateboer. In the 93rd minute Steggerda were awarded a corner. Andreas Bot went to the cornerflag to take it. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Ernest Nieuwburg took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Henny Brugmans to make any attempt to save it. DSS Heemskerk's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
