After having played for 8 minutes, Peter Ooijer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. jong ajax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Ooijer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Ooijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Oppenhuizen HC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jelle van Zwieten hit a great ball. Berend Maurits took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stijn Kruis. Stijn Kruis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Stijn Kruis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Ooijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Berend Maurits notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Oppenhuizen HC's Stijn Kruis. Stijn Kruis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Geale Landman kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Peter Ooijer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oppenhuizen HC's Stijn Kruis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Berend Maurits had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stijn Kruis. Oppenhuizen HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berend Maurits was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 33 minutes into the game, Oppenhuizen HC's Geale Melker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gijsbert Alferink made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Toni Otten hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geale Melker got free with Gijsbert Alferink in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute Jelle van Zwieten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gijsbert Alferink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stijn Kruis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berend Maurits in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half jong ajax were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guus Zaagman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Peter Ooijer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Stijn Kruis having to interfere. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Henry Ritsma with Geale Landman as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 57 minutes into the match, jong ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Guus Zaagman came free, but Gijsbert Alferink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th match minute, jong ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Bot to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Oppenhuizen HC's goalkeeper Stijn Kruis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berend Maurits. In the 65th minute, Berend Maurits left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The jong ajax fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Peter Ooijer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Stijn Kruis made a huge save. 79 minutes into the match, Guus Zaagman notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of jong ajax's Gijsbert Alferink. Gijsbert Alferink was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the match, jong ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Jelle van Zwieten came free, but Gijsbert Alferink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Bot got free with Stijn Kruis in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peter Ooijer struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Stijn Kruis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for jong ajax. jong ajax's Berend Maurits got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Jelle van Zwieten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oppenhuizen HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave jong ajax the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Ooijer in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stijn Kruis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oppenhuizen HC's Stijn Kruis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Ooijer in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded jong ajax left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Oppenhuizen HC.
