Richard Roelfs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gijsbert Koster having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Hofte's Rudi Borst got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 89th match minute, Hofte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mirko de Backer to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Schaik's Elmar Evans tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Mirko de Backer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute of the match Schaik got a corner. Hofte's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elmar Evans ran over to the corner to take the kick. Schaik's Elmar Evans was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gijsbert Koster in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 98 minutes, Theo Kersten made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hofte's Gijsbert Koster tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
