Douwe Zevenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heilo the free kick. 34 minutes into the match, Felland's goal looked a bit too open when Gerjan de Rooy came free, but Wim Veenker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerjan de Rooy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douwe Zevenberg made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Heilo's Arno van Boxel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wim Veenker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wim Veenker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerjan de Rooy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Felland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Despite this Wim Veenker quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Robert Griemink charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Griemink the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 60 played minutes Felland got a freekick which was hit by Robert Griemink. When Robert Griemink came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Felland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Griemink couldn't finish the play. Robert Griemink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bram Staal having to interfere. Hubert Seinstra's late challenge caught a Felland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bram Staal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Griemink, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, Heilo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Douwe Zevenberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bram Staal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Heilo booed when Felland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douwe Zevenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Felland could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Heilo throughout the match.
