Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Leendert Fellinger made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Hazelberg getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jelmer Meyer hit a great ball. Damien Need kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Werner Rieks in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Brans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Werner Rieks blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emil Brans having to make a save. In the 21st minute, one of Hazelberg:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hazelberg. Thijs Engbers walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurjen Zeydeveld in the 30th minute of play forced Hazelberg's goalkeeper Emil Brans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes in the game, Leendert Fellinger fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Damien Zegeling having to interfere. A collision led to Hazelberg getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jelmer Meyer hit a great ball. When Werner Rieks came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the HFC Haarlem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Werner Rieks couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the game, Werner Rieks cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Emil Brans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fred Pronk hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hazelberg's zone, Werner Rieks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Brans came out of the goal and Werner Rieks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Werner Rieks in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emil Brans saved Hazelberg from getting behind. After having played for 54 minutes, Damien Need managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HFC Haarlem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damien Need was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jelmer Meyer hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Werner Rieks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emil Brans was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Leandro Birjaio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emil Brans. Hazelberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Birjaio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Emil Brans made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Werner Rieks sent off a good shot on target. After 66 minutes Hazelberg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thijs Engbers who took care of the corner kick. Damien Zegeling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leendert Fellinger, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Damien Need notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Hazelberg's Emil Brans. Emil Brans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Werner Rieks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Hazelberg's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Birjaio came free, but Emil Brans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Brans made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Damien Need sent off a good shot on target. Melvin Opdam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Damien Zegeling. HFC Haarlem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Hazelberg's Leendert Fellinger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damien Zegeling narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Damien Zegeling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leendert Fellinger's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the match, HFC Haarlem's goal looked a bit too open when Simon van der Werff came free, but Damien Zegeling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Damien Need hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched HFC Haarlem eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
