Alex Damen came out and tried to block the shot, but Serge Arts slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. When FC B.I.D.S.'s Kurt Pals in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serge Arts in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Damen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC B.I.D.S.'s Karsten Appeldoorn couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for The Young Ones FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Alex Damen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Haremeijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute.
