Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rudolf Mol started the match with the kick off. If Ron Snoeks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute Rudolf Mol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Boswijk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henk Ieberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Boswijk having to interfere. Marco Hilhorst recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ron Snoeks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Kort kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Henk Ieberts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ron Snoeks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudolf Mol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gert Boswijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ron Snoeks was the one to do the kick off. Henk Ieberts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gert Boswijk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Henk Ieberts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gert Boswijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boukjan de Boer during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Weleveld got a freekick which was hit by Boukjan de Boer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Mol in the 64th minute of play forced Fc Wilnis's goalkeeper Gert Boswijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Fc Wilnis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronald Mol to maneuver through the defense. Fc Wilnis's Gert Boswijk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Mol in the 67th minute of play. When Ron Snoeks came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Fc Wilnis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ron Snoeks couldn't finish the play. Humberto Kooij made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Marco Hilhorst sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th match minute, Fc Wilnis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Timmermans to maneuver through the defense. Henk Ieberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Boswijk having to interfere. If Rudolf Mol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Boswijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Ieberts in the 86th minute of play. Marco Hilhorst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fc Wilnis's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
