But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt van der Schaaf couldn't finish the play. Raymond Neeskens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 46 played minutes Inter Traaie got a freekick which was hit by Fabiën Oosterhof. 48 minutes into the match, Inter Traaie's goalkeeper Klaas van Zijderveld had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Hilhorst.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ron Snoeks made a kick off. If Ron Snoeks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. But to his dismay, Ron Snoeks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, Fc Wilnis's Tom Plenter got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of Fc Wilnis booed when Inter Traaie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Brinks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
