Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Teo Driessens started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute of the match Pierre Dussel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Daems showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Douwe Beukers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joop Eiting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar de Vries, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After a rather tough play, Zoelmond RKSV's Demy Sleiffer got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Zoelmond RKSV's Douwe Beukers made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Daems was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Zoelmond RKSV's zone, Teo Driessens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joop Eiting came out of the goal and Teo Driessens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Uithuizen VV's Teo Driessens in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zoelmond RKSV's goalie prevented a goal. Joop Eiting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Driessens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teo Driessens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joop Eiting having to interfere. Zoelmond RKSV's Joop Eiting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar de Vries in the 32nd minute of play. When Elbert Zeegelaar came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Zoelmond RKSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elbert Zeegelaar couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Zoelmond RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar de Vries came free, but Joop Eiting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Teo Driessens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elbert Zeegelaar to make the kick off. A collision led to Zoelmond RKSV getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Franck Heide hit a great ball. Oscar de Vries received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Joop Eiting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teo Driessens in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joop Eiting saved Zoelmond RKSV from getting behind. With a little luck, Zoelmond RKSV's Joop Eiting got control of the ball when Oscar de Vries tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute of the match Jan Rein de Bruin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joop Eiting showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oscar de Vries recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Zoelmond RKSV's Elbert Zeegelaar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Daems made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Oscar de Vries took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joop Eiting. Joop Eiting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 79th minute, Oscar de Vries ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joop Eiting was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Demy Sleiffer kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Oscar de Vries kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joop Eiting. That made the score 2-3 in the 87 minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Teo Driessens recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joop Eiting. Teo Driessens showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. 96 minutes into the match, Zoelmond RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Driessens came free, but Joop Eiting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar de Vries sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
