Demy Sleiffer hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match Arie Aelbrecht sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joop Eiting skillfully saved the ball. Elbert Zeegelaar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Zoelmond RKSV getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Douwe Beukers hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Demy Sleiffer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Schraard Eendracht's Peter Eylens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Schraard Eendracht from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Zoelmond RKSV's Douwe Beukers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Eylens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joop Eiting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rinus Rinzema, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacques Stroeve was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Zoelmond RKSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demy Sleiffer to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute of the match, Rinus Rinzema got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joop Eiting was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Elbert Zeegelaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Peter Eylens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arie Aelbrecht kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Zoelmond RKSV's Pierre Dussel in action when he in the 68th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! When Zoelmond RKSV's Elbert Zeegelaar in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schraard Eendracht's goalie prevented a goal. Elbert Zeegelaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Peter Eylens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douwe Beukers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens Damstra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joop Eiting read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Jacques Stroeve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Joop Eiting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rinus Rinzema who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Joop Eiting when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Ron van Zeist notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Schraard Eendracht's Peter Eylens. Peter Eylens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zoelmond RKSV fans cheered their team off the field, for while Schraard Eendracht had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
