The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Blokzijl:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Landvoort:s goal. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Landvoort. Martien Ronde stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Taco Hilbrands. 0-1. With an all-out effort, Blokzijl's Philip Oss threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mathias Haken, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dries de Haan hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 21 minutes of play, Blokzijl's Alwin Reinders made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Oss was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dries de Haan kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Alwin Reinders helped the player get up and apologised. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Mathias Haken took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Philip Oss. Landvoort's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Philip Oss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dries de Haan, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernst van Veldhuizen during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Landvoort got a freekick which was hit by Ernst van Veldhuizen. For all the effort they put into the match, the Landvoort players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Blokzijl.
