Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sjoerd Eringa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sjoerd Eringa in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willem Moek saved Grou City Heroes from getting behind. If Roel van Dongen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Wessel Broerse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hans-Cees Hillen was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After having played for 21 minutes, Roel van Dongen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grou City Heroes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roel van Dongen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harm Theissen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Willem Moek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sjoerd Eringa came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Buttinga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sjoerd Eringa couldn't finish the play. Sjoerd Eringa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Willem Moek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harm Theissen got free with Willem Moek in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wessel Broerse charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wessel Broerse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Grou City Heroes getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Wessel Broerse hit a great ball. In the 39th match minute, Buttinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harm Theissen to maneuver through the defense. Hans-Cees Hillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roel van Dongen, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wessel Broerse to strike the kick off in the second half. Grou City Heroes's Willem Moek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harm Theissen in the 54th minute of play. Willem Moek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack van Nistelrooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Grou City Heroes defense, Sjoerd Eringa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willem Moek. The Grou City Heroes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willem Moek should have stopped the shot. Jack van Nistelrooij kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Wessel Broerse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Hans-Cees Hillen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roel van Dongen got free with Hans-Cees Hillen in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute, Sjoerd Eringa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Buttinga's Sjoerd Eringa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willem Moek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pim Euving's late challenge caught a Buttinga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pim Euving helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Pim Euving hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buttinga's Harm Theissen got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nigel Klompe charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nigel Klompe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 94 minutes into the game, one of Buttinga:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Stijn Hulzebos shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grou City Heroes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Buttinga.
