Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Buttinga's Sjoerd Eringa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mitchell Scheffer's late challenge caught a Buttinga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mitchell Scheffer helped the player get up and apologised. Mitchell Scheffer hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Mario Heebels, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sjoerd Eringa struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Elbert Bartele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buttinga. The supporters of Buttinga booed when Blokum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Zwinkels didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Harm Theissen came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Buttinga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harm Theissen couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blokum's goalkeeper Elbert Bartele, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Blokum's Chiel Kras got a free kick in the 18th minute. When Buttinga's Sjoerd Eringa in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blokum's goalie prevented a goal. Sjoerd Eringa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elbert Bartele having to interfere. Elbert Bartele was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Sjoerd Eringa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sjoerd Eringa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Elbert Bartele made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Harm Theissen sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, Blokum's Anton Brinker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans-Cees Hillen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Buttinga booed when Blokum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark de Nooijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Mario Heebels sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elbert Bartele skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Sjoerd Eringa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buttinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sjoerd Eringa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Buttinga's Harm Theissen got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anton Brinker was the one to do the kick off. Hans-Cees Hillen was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Anton Brinker capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anton Brinker really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After having played for 62 minutes, Sjoerd Eringa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buttinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sjoerd Eringa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sjoerd Eringa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jack van Nistelrooij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elbert Bartele having to interfere. Harm Theissen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elbert Bartele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harm Theissen, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Harm Theissen notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Blokum's Elbert Bartele. Elbert Bartele was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjoerd Eringa in the 91st minute of play forced Blokum's goalkeeper Elbert Bartele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blokum's Elbert Bartele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjoerd Eringa in the 95th minute of play. Wesley Zwinkels's late challenge caught a Buttinga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elbert Bartele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjoerd Eringa in the 97th minute of the match. Buttinga walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
