The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 13th minute Tonny Buring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Oldenbeuving saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cor Thijsse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Wit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denny Drent in the 24th minute of play forced Beugt's goalkeeper Cor Thijsse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cor Thijsse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Drent in the 27th minute of the match. Tonny Buring struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Gert Oldenbeuving didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beugt. Cor Thijsse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Wit in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tonny Buring to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tonny Buring ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gert Oldenbeuving was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cor Thijsse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Drent in the 61st minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Fabiën Idelberger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beugt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warniahuizen V.V. the free kick. Beugt's Cor Thijsse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Beugt from getting a goal against them. Denny Drent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gert Oldenbeuving made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tonny Buring in the 74th minute of play. Cor Thijsse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Das, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Beugt's Ronald Ostermann got a free kick in the 76th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Cor Thijsse successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Warniahuizen V.V. booed when Beugt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenik Landzaat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cor Thijsse was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denny Drent showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 87 minute of play. Yuri Wit succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 91st playminute.
