PSV Eindhoven's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Sijtaart RKSV getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Gijsbert Jeronimus hit a great ball. Kristof Diest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristof Diest struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Fokke Klok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sijtaart RKSV. Fokke Klok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elco Som in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Pierewaaijer in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fokke Klok saved PSV Eindhoven from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of PSV Eindhoven:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sijtaart RKSV:s goal. The referee gave Sijtaart RKSV a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rick Klaassen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of PSV Eindhoven's Fokke Klok. 0-2. Chris Pierewaaijer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, PSV Eindhoven's Dave Borgman got a free kick in the 40th minute. Chris Pierewaaijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Fokke Klok tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

56 minutes into the match, PSV Eindhoven's goal looked a bit too open when Kristof Diest came free, but Fokke Klok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Roewen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chiel Boekholt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Roewen's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dirk Schophuis in the 75th minute of play forced Sijtaart RKSV's goalkeeper Chiel Boekholt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Kristof Diest managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sijtaart RKSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristof Diest was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Frank Roewen managed to get in a good position for a shot. PSV Eindhoven's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Roewen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiel Boekholt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Chris Pierewaaijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chris Pierewaaijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fokke Klok having to interfere. If Kristof Diest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chris Pierewaaijer might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fokke Klok. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Pierewaaijer ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute Kristof Diest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fokke Klok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sijtaart RKSV's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
