If Jens Joppets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Dennis Dekkers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Gabbermatehooligans's Eddy Zwarthoet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save The Gabbermatehooligans from getting a goal against them. Sjors Dol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to The Gabbermatehooligans getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Thomas Veltrop hit a great ball. Eddy Zwarthoet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Joppets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stijn Ottens kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Eddy Zwarthoet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens Joppets went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A hard shot 25 in the game by Timo Schipper from a close distance when the talented Eddy Zwarthoet managed to make a qualified save. The Gabbermatehooligans's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Dekkers during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Burgt booed when The Gabbermatehooligans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Dekkers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddy Zwarthoet came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Burgt's Timo Schipper. But to his dismay, Timo Schipper quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Timo Schipper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Gabbermatehooligans's goalkeeper Eddy Zwarthoet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roelof de Visscher in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eddy Zwarthoet saved The Gabbermatehooligans from getting behind. Klaas Jan Borst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carel Mulders having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens Joppets made a kick off. Eddy Zwarthoet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens Joppets's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Eddy Zwarthoet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Joppets, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute, Dennis de Zeeuw left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Gabbermatehooligans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Dennis de Zeeuw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Burgt's zone, Sjors Dol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carel Mulders came out of the goal and Sjors Dol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis de Zeeuw got free with Carel Mulders in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Timo Schipper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in The Gabbermatehooligans's zone, Jens Joppets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddy Zwarthoet came out of the goal and Jens Joppets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eddy Zwarthoet came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Burgt's Timo Schipper. But to his dismay, Timo Schipper quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 91st minute, Robert-Jan van Zijderveld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Burgt's goalkeeper Carel Mulders had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dennis de Zeeuw. Burgt were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of The Gabbermatehooligans for a fine match.
