Bart Ieberts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Klaassen in the 4th minute of play. David Klaassen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Ieberts having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Fred Heulmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paterswolde's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Heulmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bart Ieberts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Wim Roorda managed to get in a good position for a shot. With his leg Filip Collen managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Add Deen Haag's Eelco Hofkamp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fred Heulmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bart Ieberts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Wim Roorda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Collen having to interfere. Bart Ieberts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Heulmann in the 61st minute of the match. David Klaassen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Bart Ieberts made a huge save. In the 64th minute of the match Brain Geers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bart Ieberts skillfully saved the ball. If Eelco Hofkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerjan Hoekstra hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The supporters of Paterswolde booed when Add Deen Haag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerjan Hoekstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Heulmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Ieberts having to interfere. If Eelco Hofkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, David Klaassen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
