Robin Schutrups made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Westra in the 3rd minute of play. Emile Krol had several of the Overschild's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 6 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Hans Scheer as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Frederik Geraets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Schutrups showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederik Geraets in the 16th minute of the match. If Rolf Zomer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Zomer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Maikel Duin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ratum SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Overschild the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ratum SV's Maikel Duin got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the game, Fernando Westra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Robin Schutrups was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Frederik Geraets got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robin Schutrups stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frederik Geraets's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Fernando Westra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Rogier Dekker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Ratum SV's goal looked a bit too open when Frederik Geraets came free, but Robin Schutrups reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Overschild was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Oosterveld to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Wilfried de Gooijer fired a really elegant long shot, but Hans Scheer threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The supporters of Overschild booed when Ratum SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfried de Gooijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Fernando Westra struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Robin Schutrups didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Overschild. After having played for 54 minutes, Frederik Geraets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Overschild's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederik Geraets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Rolf Zomer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Hans Scheer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolf Zomer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Scheer having to interfere. Emile Krol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hans Scheer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederik Geraets in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robin Schutrups prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robin Schutrups took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederik Geraets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th match minute, Overschild was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst de Zwaan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Overschild's Ernst de Zwaan got a free kick in the 78th minute. Emile Krol took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Scheer. Hans Scheer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Robin Schutrups didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Westra went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Fernando Westra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans Scheer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emile Krol in the 93rd minute of the match.
