Harry Bruinsma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Robbermond having to interfere. After 13 minutes, Harry Bruinsma made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Paardelanden's Ernest Robbermond tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaas Scheerhoorn got free with Nigel Korf in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Nijsse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ernest Robbermond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerben Ebbinge during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Paardelanden getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gerben Ebbinge hit a great ball. Nigel Korf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans-Cees Groten, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Tomas Nijsse came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Heiligland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Nijsse couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Heiligland's zone, Klaas Scheerhoorn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nigel Korf came out of the goal and Klaas Scheerhoorn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tomas Nijsse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Harry Bruinsma made the kick off in the second half. Gerald Hilbrands's late challenge caught a Heiligland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerald Hilbrands helped the player get up and apologised. Gerald Hilbrands hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Bruinsma in the 52nd minute of play forced Paardelanden's goalkeeper Ernest Robbermond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans-Cees Groten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nigel Korf having to interfere. If Hans-Cees Groten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Otto Thijsse fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heiligland's protests and gave Otto Thijsse a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Paardelanden booed when Heiligland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Thijsse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nigel Korf came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Paardelanden's Hans-Cees Groten. But to his dismay, Hans-Cees Groten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Tomas Nijsse struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ernest Robbermond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heiligland. In the 73rd minute, Harry Bruinsma fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ernest Robbermond, passed just outside the right post. In the 78th minute of the match, Harry Bruinsma tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ernest Robbermond saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Bruinsma in the 80th minute of play forced Paardelanden's goalkeeper Ernest Robbermond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans-Cees Groten in the 86th minute of play forced Heiligland's goalkeeper Nigel Korf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heiligland's Nigel Korf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaas Scheerhoorn in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Heiligland's goal looked a bit too open when Hans-Cees Groten came free, but Nigel Korf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaas Scheerhoorn in the 90th minute of play forced Heiligland's goalkeeper Nigel Korf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Bruinsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ernest Robbermond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Jeroen Palsma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
