Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lion Club FC's Hette Wijk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Visdonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joop Staarman to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Visdonk's Abraham Baker threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jonathan Heida, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 7th minute, Jonathan Heida made a precise shot to the right of Abraham Baker. Lion Club FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Denny Klap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erben Fleur having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Lion Club FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristof Beukenkamp. Denny Klap sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hette Wijk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Erben Fleur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Denny Klap came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Lion Club FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denny Klap couldn't finish the play. Denny Klap took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erben Fleur. Erben Fleur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Lion Club FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Bas Ekelhoff hit a great ball. Lion Club FC's Abraham Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Heida in the 42nd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Denny Klap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erben Fleur having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Joop Staarman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Joop Staarman made a precise shot to the right of Abraham Baker. Lion Club FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jonathan Heida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Abraham Baker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Visdonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ton Wagemakers to maneuver through the defense. After 72 minutes, Folker van Alst mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Visdonk and the Lion Club FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lion Club FC booed when Visdonk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folker van Alst didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Baker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martien Egberts in the 80th minute of play. When Jonathan Heida came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Visdonk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Heida couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Hette Wijk fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erben Fleur, passed just outside the right post. 90 minutes into the match, Denny Klap had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erben Fleur. Visdonk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denny Klap was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Hette Wijk struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Erben Fleur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lion Club FC. With his leg Erben Fleur managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Lion Club FC's Denny Klap fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
