Spectators: 26 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 0, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roland Aukes started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Hette Wijk notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Laareind SC's Remond Hartlief. Remond Hartlief was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roland Aukes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abraham Baker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Arnold Germs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remond Hartlief took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denny Klap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denny Klap sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remond Hartlief stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denny Klap's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Bas Ekelhoff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remond Hartlief. Laareind SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bas Ekelhoff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 28 minutes into the game, Lion Club FC's Hette Wijk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remond Hartlief made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 31st match minute, Lion Club FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berry Iepstra to maneuver through the defense. Roland Aukes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Baker having to interfere. Remond Hartlief showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hette Wijk, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Laareind SC's zone, Bas Ekelhoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remond Hartlief came out of the goal and Bas Ekelhoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute Denny Klap shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remond Hartlief saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remond Hartlief came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Lion Club FC's Hette Wijk. But to his dismay, Hette Wijk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

If Hette Wijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abraham Baker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold Germs in the 62nd minute of play. Lion Club FC's Abraham Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnold Germs in the 64th minute of play. Remond Hartlief made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denny Klap in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Hette Wijk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Remond Hartlief was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Jorn Boersma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remond Hartlief made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denny Klap in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes Laareind SC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Onderwater. In the 82nd minute, Lion Club FC's Jorn Boersma dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. After 85 minutes, Bas Ekelhoff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lion Club FC and the Laareind SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bas Ekelhoff kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Remond Hartlief took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hette Wijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remond Hartlief showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hette Wijk in the 97th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bas Ekelhoff in the 98th minute of play forced Laareind SC's goalkeeper Remond Hartlief to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lion Club FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
