Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erik Scholten started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Nut FC's Wilfred Meyer got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Folkert Hanekamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Scholten in the 4th minute of the match. Marc Klerk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tonnie Peppinck went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 10 played minutes FC Gelsenkirchen 04 got a freekick which was hit by Coos van Heiningen. The corner ended in Hubert Ponk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Gelsenkirchen 04's Marc Klerk did a great save. Marc Klerk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiel Heersprink in the 26th minute of play. Tonnie Peppinck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Klerk having to interfere. The supporters of Nut FC booed when FC Gelsenkirchen 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marinus van Zanten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nut FC's Tonnie Peppinck got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Chiel Heersprink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tonnie Peppinck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marc Klerk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Elbert Batenburg hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Folkert Hanekamp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Scholten in the 54th minute. If Erik Scholten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Erik Scholten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folkert Hanekamp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folkert Hanekamp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frits Ijksma in the 65th minute. Ronald de Vlieger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marc Klerk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, FC Gelsenkirchen 04's goal looked a bit too open when Chiel Heersprink came free, but Marc Klerk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tonnie Peppinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tonnie Peppinck struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Marc Klerk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nut FC. After a defensive mix-up in FC Gelsenkirchen 04's zone, Chiel Heersprink stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marc Klerk came out of the goal and Chiel Heersprink tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chiel Heersprink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Marc Klerk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nut FC fully deserved thier win.
