Ricky Boswijk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tonnie Peppinck went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Nut FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Wilfred Meyer hit a great ball. If Jan Butter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Nut FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Butter came free, but Folkert Hanekamp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Aksel's Jan Butter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Folkert Hanekamp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilfred Meyer hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Folkert Hanekamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Butter in the 33rd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Nut FC's goalkeeper Folkert Hanekamp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tim Vonk. After a rather tough play, Nut FC's Ronald de Vlieger got a free kick in the 36th minute. Dirk Aalst hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Butter in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Folkert Hanekamp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tim Vonk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Chiel Heersprink made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Tim Vonk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folkert Hanekamp was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 54th minute, Chiel Heersprink got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tim Vonk struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Folkert Hanekamp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aksel. After 57 played minutes Nut FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronald de Vlieger. Folkert Hanekamp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Butter's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 85 minutes in the game, Tim Vonk dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a rather tough play, Nut FC's Matthijs de Koning got a free kick in the 89th minute. Aksel's Jan Butter got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilfred Meyer kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Tim Vonk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Folkert Hanekamp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Tim Vonk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Folkert Hanekamp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nut FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Aksel.
