Carlo Saelman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franck Zegwaard in the 8th minute of play. Coenraad Overdiep could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Carlo Saelman made a huge save. Franck Zegwaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Saelman having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Coenraad Overdiep got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Olbergen RKSV's goalkeeper Carlo Saelman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Coenraad Overdiep. 23 minutes into the game, Olbergen RKSV's Herman Zwiers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jhon Holst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 29th minute, Franck Zegwaard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stepekolk FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Olbergen RKSV's Carlo Saelman got control of the ball when Coenraad Overdiep tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlo Saelman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franck Zegwaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When Coenraad Overdiep came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Stepekolk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Coenraad Overdiep couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Coenraad Overdiep managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stepekolk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Coenraad Overdiep was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Saelman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Henry Kosterman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Carlo Saelman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Olbergen RKSV getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Karsten van der Sar hit a great ball. In the game's 57th minute Stepekolk FC's Henry Kosterman took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Carlo Saelman and thus the score was 2-1. Carlo Saelman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coenraad Overdiep, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Coenraad Overdiep received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Carlo Saelman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Franck Zegwaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stepekolk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franck Zegwaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Coenraad Overdiep took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlo Saelman. Carlo Saelman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Coenraad Overdiep came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Stepekolk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Coenraad Overdiep couldn't finish the play. Coenraad Overdiep fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Saelman having to interfere. Coenraad Overdiep blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlo Saelman having to make a save. In the 80th match minute, Stepekolk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Kosterman to maneuver through the defense. Coenraad Overdiep sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Coenraad Overdiep fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Saelman having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Coenraad Overdiep left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stepekolk FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After 96 minutes of play, Stepekolk FC's Coenraad Overdiep made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlo Saelman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stepekolk FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Olbergen RKSV for a fine match.
