In the 4thth minute of the game Vincent Jurjens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schoonheeten FC's Ton Compaan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Edgard van Dartel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ton Compaan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ton Compaan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emile Sneijder in the 12th minute of the match. Hans Zoolingen's late challenge caught a Boxum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hans Zoolingen helped the player get up and apologised. Hans Zoolingen kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 20 minutes, Vincent Jurjens made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Schoonheeten FC's Ton Compaan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 27 played minutes Schoonheeten FC got a freekick which was hit by Rob van Zonderen. Ton Compaan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emile Sneijder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Schoonheeten FC's Demy Valk got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute, Emile Sneijder made a precise shot to the right of Ton Compaan. Schoonheeten FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Izaak Randag sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Emile Sneijder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boxum's supporters rose to their feet, but Emile Sneijder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ton Compaan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Emile Sneijder made the kick off in the second half. Ruben Zwaanswijk hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Izaak Randag reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jelle Kiewiet. The goal made the score 2-1. Vincent Jurjens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ton Compaan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute of the match Marcus Homan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ton Compaan skillfully saved the ball. Emile Sneijder might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ton Compaan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emile Sneijder ran back to his position shaking his head. 73 minutes into the match, Schoonheeten FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Jurjens came free, but Ton Compaan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Martin Barends came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Schoonheeten FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Barends couldn't finish the play. Martin Barends could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Jelle Kiewiet made a huge save. The supporters of Schoonheeten FC booed when Boxum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carel Zegwaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elbert de Bruin charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elbert de Bruin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th match minute, Boxum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elbert de Bruin to maneuver through the defense. Edgard van Dartel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ton Compaan. Schoonheeten FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Schoonheeten FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jasper Reinhard hit a great ball. When Boxum's Vincent Jurjens in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schoonheeten FC's goalie prevented a goal. Emile Sneijder might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ton Compaan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emile Sneijder ran back to his position shaking his head. Boxum's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
