Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alfred Zomer took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Theo Oldenborger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alfred Zomer came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Helbroek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Zomer couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Zomer in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Dongen saved Esch V.V. from getting behind. Richard Dongen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melvin de Boer's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Izaak Heinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilco Eggens charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilco Eggens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wilco Eggens kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Alfred Zomer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Dongen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilco Eggens got his second yellow card in the match during the 32nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Helbroek getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Wilco Eggens hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Jan Brinke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Klooster was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Melvin de Boer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Dongen having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Helbroek's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Brinke came free, but Marco Klooster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Melvin de Boer succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 53rd playminute. Melvin de Boer in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Richard Dongen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Jan Brinke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiel Teunisse hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Melvin de Boer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute Jan Brinke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Klooster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jan Brinke came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Esch V.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Brinke couldn't finish the play. If Alfred Zomer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Esch V.V. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Helbroek's performance. The match ended with a win for Helbroek.
