Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jelle de Mol started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jong Ajax's Jelle de Mol got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Spaan during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Spaan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Hendrik Craandijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rik Hommes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Vaalman, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Liesveld's goal looked a bit too open when Jelle de Mol came free, but Brain Atsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jong Ajax's zone, Daniël Rieks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rik Hommes came out of the goal and Daniël Rieks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liesveld were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Jong Ajax's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Corné Tinselboer took the corner. If Marco Spaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Daniël Rieks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Liesveld defense, Marco Spaan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brain Atsma. The Liesveld fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brain Atsma should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniël Rieks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Liesveld's Daniël Rieks in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jong Ajax's goalie prevented a goal. Daniël Rieks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rik Hommes having to interfere. Hendrik Craandijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Spaan in the 65th minute of play forced Liesveld's goalkeeper Brain Atsma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernard Wijk kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniël Rieks in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rik Hommes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Hendrik Craandijk came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Liesveld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hendrik Craandijk couldn't finish the play. Daniël Rieks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lex van der Stoel kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Daniël Rieks scored 1-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rik Hommes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, Steven Lammers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jong Ajax's Marco Spaan in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liesveld's goalie prevented a goal. Despite being the better team, Liesveld failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
