The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan Hendrik Ostermann might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brain Atsma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Hendrik Ostermann ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Daniël Rieks took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Koos van Zalen to make any attempt to save it. Brain Atsma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Hendrik Ostermann in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Hendrik Ostermann in the 20th minute of play forced Liesveld's goalkeeper Brain Atsma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hendrik Craandijk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Koos van Zalen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Luikens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Koos van Zalen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hendrik Craandijk in the 65th minute of play. Hub van Nieuwstadt hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Liesveld's Brain Atsma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Luikens in the 69th minute of play. Jan Hendrik Ostermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brain Atsma having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Liesveld's goalkeeper Brain Atsma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Hendrik Ostermann. Hendrik Craandijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hendrik Craandijk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Koos van Zalen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
