Geale van der Werff lost his temper 4 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vrijhoeven VV! The goalkeeper, Roi Bermudez, was totally fooled by Weteringbrug S.C.'s Mathijs Butter, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 9th minute, Rein Maasland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Vrijhoeven VV's goal looked a bit too open when Coenraad Thole came free, but Roi Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teun Luijpers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Kooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Emiel van der Aa fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vrijhoeven VV's protests and gave Emiel van der Aa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Emiel van der Aa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Terpstra in the 27th minute of play forced Vrijhoeven VV's goalkeeper Roi Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teun Luijpers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiel van der Aa in the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, Weteringbrug S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenik Derksen to maneuver through the defense. Roi Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coenraad Thole in the 38th minute of play. Weteringbrug S.C.'s Teun Luijpers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Kooij in the 40th minute of play. Ryan Valentijn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Vrijhoeven VV's Gerrie Rogaars got a free kick in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pierre Kooij stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Kooij in the 54th minute of play forced Weteringbrug S.C.'s goalkeeper Teun Luijpers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Pierre Kooij left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vrijhoeven VV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Roi Bermudez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daan van der Doelen, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute Coenraad Thole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roi Bermudez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerrie Rogaars sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pierre Kooij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pierre Kooij came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Vrijhoeven VV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre Kooij couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, Vrijhoeven VV's goal looked a bit too open when Rein Maasland came free, but Roi Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daan van der Doelen charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daan van der Doelen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vrijhoeven VV's Roland van Someren has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 86th minute. Roi Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coenraad Thole in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vrijhoeven VV eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
