Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lucien Wilson made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the game, Ravenswoud Excelsior's Lucien Wilson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theo Alberda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Theo Alberda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucien Wilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sjef van der Leegte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Izaak Visser having to interfere. After 23 minutes, Dries Oosterveld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rembrandt Nassau and the Ravenswoud Excelsior players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Rembrandt Nassau:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ravenswoud Excelsior:s goal. Theo Alberda went to the wrong direction when Jan Kruijs was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ravenswoud Excelsior's Izaak Visser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjef van der Leegte in the 31st minute of play. Lucien Wilson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Theo Alberda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theo Alberda came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Ravenswoud Excelsior's Lucien Wilson. But to his dismay, Lucien Wilson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Rembrandt Nassau's Theo Alberda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark van Bronckhorst in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Rembrandt Nassau's goal looked a bit too open when Daan Meulenbergh came free, but Theo Alberda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ravenswoud Excelsior's Izaak Visser got control of the ball when Adriaan Dijkman tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Ravenswoud Excelsior were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Lucien Wilson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Theo Alberda. The goal made the score 0-3. If Lucien Wilson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Rembrandt Nassau's Theo Alberda got control of the ball when Daan Meulenbergh tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Rembrandt Nassau were awarded a corner. Julius de Haan went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Julius de Haan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Izaak Visser quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sjef van der Leegte in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Izaak Visser saved Ravenswoud Excelsior from getting behind. The supporters of Ravenswoud Excelsior booed when Rembrandt Nassau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Tellingen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ravenswoud Excelsior's Jan Kruijs tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Daan Meulenbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Alberda having to interfere. Theo Alberda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daan Meulenbergh in the 73rd minute of play. Lucien Wilson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Rembrandt Nassau's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucien Wilson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Theo Alberda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucien Wilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
