Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emil Korsma started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Gellicum's Emil Korsma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herman Huisingh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The Gellicum fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Gellicum's Emil Korsma looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A hard shot 16 in the game by Aad Winters from a close distance when the talented Theo Tevreden managed to make a qualified save. Gellicum's players were relieved. Coos Kemper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Andre van den Akker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Theo Tevreden acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Evert Eefting. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ate Oldenborger in the 27th minute of play forced Leovardia's goalkeeper Herman Huisingh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Korsma in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herman Huisingh saved Leovardia from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aad Winters got free with Theo Tevreden in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aad Winters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Theo Tevreden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gellicum booed when Leovardia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wouter Zuiverloon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ate Oldenborger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Leovardia's zone, Ate Oldenborger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herman Huisingh came out of the goal and Ate Oldenborger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Coos Kemper to strike the kick off in the second half. Theo Tevreden came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Leovardia's Coos Kemper. But to his dismay, Coos Kemper quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Coos Kemper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ate Oldenborger charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ate Oldenborger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Leovardia booed when Gellicum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ate Oldenborger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leovardia's Theo de Graaf got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Theo Tevreden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aad Winters in the 65th minute of the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Emil Korsma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leovardia's Herman Huisingh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herman Huisingh made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Ate Oldenborger sent off a good shot on target. Andre van den Akker kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Aad Winters's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theo Tevreden was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Emil Korsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Herman Huisingh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gellicum booed when Leovardia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo de Graaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aad Winters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theo Tevreden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aad Winters, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Gellicum's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
