Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute Sjoerd Hoogland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gido Brürs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heiko de Vogt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sjoerd Hoogland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gido Brürs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes in the game, Gio Staarman dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 22 minutes Tonden's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frits Vliet who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Edwin Wisgerhof advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 22nd minute. After 25 played minutes, Tonden's Jeroen Zwartkruis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jeffrey Kolman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tonden reached it. In the 26th match minute, AFC Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wouter Pluym to maneuver through the defense. Jeffrey Kolman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerjan Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerald Bouwens hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Gio Staarman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gido Brürs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AFC Ajax's Jeffrey Kolman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko de Vogt in the 35th minute of play. Gerjan Bergman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half AFC Ajax were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sjoerd Hoogland made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Tonden's goalkeeper Gido Brürs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gio Staarman. A collision led to AFC Ajax getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Frits Vliet hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Marco Veninga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeffrey Kolman skillfully saved the ball. After 59 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Wisgerhof. Jeffrey Kolman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerjan Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gido Brürs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjoerd Hoogland, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Wouter Pluym had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tonden's Gido Brürs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjoerd Hoogland in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's Gio Staarman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gido Brürs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of AFC Ajax booed when Tonden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karel Heeringa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerald Bouwens hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Jeffrey Kolman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiko de Vogt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeffrey Kolman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko de Vogt in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerjan Bergman in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeffrey Kolman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Heiko de Vogt came free, but Jeffrey Kolman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 minutes, Edwin Wisgerhof mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Ajax and the Tonden players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 94 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Wisgerhof. After having played for 95 minutes, Gerjan Bergman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tonden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerjan Bergman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tonden's goalkeeper Gido Brürs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AFC Ajax eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
