The tension between the HOK-FZ and the Stal Sanok players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jef Pilage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Baptist in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of HOK-FZ booed when Stal Sanok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guus Boelens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steven Kauffeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franck van der Bij in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Stal Sanok's Rudi Meijs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jef Pilage made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rudi Meijs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jef Pilage made a huge save. Jef Pilage made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arjen Waard in the 31st minute. A collision led to HOK-FZ getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gert van Rhijn hit a great ball. Jef Pilage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Baptist, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Franck van der Bij got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Kauffeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franck van der Bij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franck van der Bij to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Michel Baptist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jef Pilage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franck van der Bij struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Steven Kauffeld didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HOK-FZ. In the 63rd minute, Rudi Meijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gert van Rhijn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Steven Kauffeld made a huge save. A throw-in in the 67th minute of the game was made by Rein Kuypers with Gerard Ijspol as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Gerard Ijspol fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HOK-FZ's protests and gave Gerard Ijspol a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, Gerard Ijspol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, HOK-FZ's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Baptist came free, but Jef Pilage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Stal Sanok booed when HOK-FZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobus van Kampen didn't get a good kick on the ball. HOK-FZ's Jef Pilage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Baptist in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Freek Vliet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Kauffeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, HOK-FZ's Jacobus van Kampen seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jacobus van Kampen the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of HOK-FZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jacobus van Kampen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, HOK-FZ's Jacobus van Kampen got a free kick in the 85th minute. Anthony Jonker, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Arjen Waard notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of HOK-FZ's Jef Pilage. Jef Pilage was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stal Sanok's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
