Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The HOK-FZ fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when HOK-FZ's Franck van der Bij looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 10th match minute, HOK-FZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobus van Kampen to maneuver through the defense. Jef Pilage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remco Wesseling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jef Pilage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willem Oldenborger in the 21st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as HOK-FZ's Franck van der Bij slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bill Kikkert. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. Gert van Rhijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Kikkert having to interfere. If Franck van der Bij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willem Oldenborger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, HOK-FZ's goal looked a bit too open when Barry Damen came free, but Jef Pilage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gert van Rhijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Kikkert having to interfere. Remco Wesseling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Jef Pilage made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, HOK-FZ's Freek Vliet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bill Kikkert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Willem Oldenborger during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, HOK-FZ's Gert van Rhijn got a free kick in the 68th minute. The corner ended in Daniel Rijkaard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Berk SC's Bill Kikkert did a great save. In the 88th minute, Zygmunt Skaradowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gert van Rhijn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bill Kikkert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berk SC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because HOK-FZ had won, even though Berk SC had held more of the ball.
