Klidze FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gert van Rhijn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jef Pilage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitchell Bette in the 32nd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Dolf Oldenbeuving dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jef Pilage, 2-1. In the 45th minute of the match, Dolf Oldenbeuving got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jef Pilage was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 48th minute, Gert van Rhijn made a precise shot to the right of Alfred Spoel. Klidze FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franck van der Bij to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Klidze FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeroen Vervoort to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Klidze FC's Alfred Spoel got control of the ball when Gert van Rhijn tried to sneak it across the goal line.
