Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emil Heuvel took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Pascall Luirink fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grolloo's protests and gave Pascall Luirink a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Grolloo's Pascall Luirink got a free kick in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Grolloo's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk-Jan Lammers came free, but Japke Ottens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Martijn Lucius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martijn Lucius got free with Dimitrie Iemberge in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Grolloo's Emil Heuvel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Japke Ottens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk-Jan Lammers in the 15th minute of the match. Jelle Maas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Japke Ottens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dirk-Jan Lammers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Japke Ottens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jelle Maas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When Meindert Lyesen fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Giekerk SC's protests and gave Meindert Lyesen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Meindert Lyesen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grolloo's Aad Sparnaaij couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Giekerk SC. After 27 played minutes Grolloo got a freekick which was hit by Paul Hoekstra. Martijn Lucius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitrie Iemberge having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Jelle Maas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 minutes of play Grolloo's Pascall Luirink was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Pascall Luirink kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Grolloo's zone, Jelle Maas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Japke Ottens came out of the goal and Jelle Maas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Japke Ottens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meindert Lyesen in the 44th minute of the match. Japke Ottens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk-Jan Lammers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Grolloo's Wessel Ierlandt got a free kick in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jelle Maas made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Martijn Lucius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alwin de Cock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dirk-Jan Lammers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Japke Ottens having to interfere. Japke Ottens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jelle Maas in the 65th minute of play. Grolloo's Japke Ottens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Grolloo from getting a goal against them. With his leg Japke Ottens managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Giekerk SC's Dirk-Jan Lammers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dimitrie Iemberge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martijn Lucius went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Martijn Lucius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Emil Heuvel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrie Iemberge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dirk-Jan Lammers got free with Japke Ottens in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jelle Maas in the 86th minute of play forced Grolloo's goalkeeper Japke Ottens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Heuvel hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Martijn Lucius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrie Iemberge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jelle Maas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dirk-Jan Lammers made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 96thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Japke Ottens would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 97 minutes into the game, Paul Hoekstra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grolloo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giekerk SC the free kick. The supporters of Giekerk SC booed when Grolloo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Hoekstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Grolloo's goal looked a bit too open when Jelle Maas came free, but Japke Ottens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Grolloo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Giekerk SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
