Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Roland de Jong made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Bjorn Timmermans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Edward Groten reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arno van Steensel. The goal made the score 1-0. After 13 minutes, Robert-Jan Lammens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Espele and the Colonies players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robert-Jan Lammens hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Hendrik Klaasens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arno van Steensel having to interfere. Jaap Wesveld hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. A collision led to Colonies getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kees Meinders hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Hendrik Klaasens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arno van Steensel. Espele's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hendrik Klaasens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Arno van Steensel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Groten in the 27th minute of play. Hendrik Klaasens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Arno van Steensel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Groten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arno van Steensel having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, Espele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Riemers to maneuver through the defense. Colonies's Gijsbert Woering shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arno van Steensel but with some difficulty. Arno van Steensel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Groten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nick Oldenbeuving showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland de Jong, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Groten to strike the kick off in the second half. Roland de Jong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Nick Oldenbeuving tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hendrik Klaasens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arno van Steensel having to interfere. If Robert-Jan Lammens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Colonies's zone, Robert-Jan Lammens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nick Oldenbeuving came out of the goal and Robert-Jan Lammens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arno van Steensel came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Colonies's Edward Groten. But to his dismay, Edward Groten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The audience was convinced that Hendrik Klaasens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arno van Steensel was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Arno van Steensel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Groten in the 74th minute of the match. If Edward Groten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Robert-Jan Lammens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hendrik Klaasens came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Colonies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hendrik Klaasens couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute Edward Groten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arno van Steensel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland de Jong in the 84th minute of play forced Colonies's goalkeeper Nick Oldenbeuving to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Groten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Espele's Jaap Wesveld got a free kick in the 88th minute. Gijsbert Woering was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Espele getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jaap Wesveld hit a great ball. Colonies's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
