Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jan Rein Deitmers to strike the kick off in the second half. Demy van der Schans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Iwan Maasland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laurens Okkes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Rein Deitmers in the 53rd minute of the match. Mheer's Laurens Okkes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Rein Deitmers in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Jan Rein Deitmers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurens Okkes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match Sjoerd Hammen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurens Okkes skillfully saved the ball. Riemer Bodde kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Demy van der Schans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Opdam in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iwan Maasland, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 81st minute, Jan Rein Deitmers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes into the game, Riemer Bodde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Reusel Excelsior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mheer the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mheer's Serge van der Haar got a free kick in the 90th minute. Laurens Okkes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Scheepstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demy van der Schans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Reusel Excelsior fully deserved thier win.
