In the 12th minute, Anthony Meijering got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fabian van Kampen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthony Meijering's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jelle Klooster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Jochem Hermensen hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of Goirke booed when LionKing SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roeland Doll didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jelle Klooster stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian van Kampen's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Rik Meijering fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niek de Zee having to interfere. After a rather tough play, LionKing SC's Bert Lemmen got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Bennie Abbenbroek came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Goirke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bennie Abbenbroek couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Goirke's Maarten Spijkerman got a free kick in the 28th minute. The supporters of LionKing SC booed when Goirke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maarten Spijkerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, LionKing SC's Anthony Meijering sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jelle Klooster narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Rik Meijering managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goirke's supporters rose to their feet, but Rik Meijering was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niek de Zee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41stth minute of the game Bennie Abbenbroek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LionKing SC's Niek de Zee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to LionKing SC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Klaas Jan Borgman hit a great ball. Rik Meijering fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niek de Zee having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bennie Abbenbroek was the one to do the kick off. Niek de Zee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bennie Abbenbroek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bennie Abbenbroek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niek de Zee having to interfere. If Bennie Abbenbroek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 minutes, Rogier Moorlag mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LionKing SC and the Goirke players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Rogier Moorlag hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Bennie Abbenbroek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Niek de Zee was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Niek de Zee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bennie Abbenbroek in the 69th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Bennie Abbenbroek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niek de Zee was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. If Rik Meijering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Goirke's protests and gave Maarten Spijkerman a yellow card for diving instead. Fabian van Kampen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maarten Spijkerman kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Jelle Klooster was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jelle Ricksen. Gertjan van Someren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Niek de Zee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Goirke had played much better football throughout.
