The supporters of LionKing SC booed when Goodtimes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieu Deiman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niek de Zee was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 35 minutes into the match, Goodtimes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jochem Hermensen came free, but Allard van Fessum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Filip Bekker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goodtimes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LionKing SC the free kick. After 45 played minutes Goodtimes FC got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Deiman. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anthony Meijering to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Bill Hammen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niek de Zee. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Allard van Fessum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Meijering, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Klaas Jan Borgman fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Allard van Fessum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathieu Deiman kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Anthony Meijering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 minutes of play, LionKing SC's Anthony Meijering made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Allard van Fessum was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
