Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Vareburen V.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Douwes came free, but Mitchell Degens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bob Vennegoor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roy van der Weerden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Bob Vennegoor in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roy van der Weerden, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mitchell Degens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim van Gaal in the 10th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Laurens Soer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pascal Douwes struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Mitchell Degens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lemele. Mitchell Degens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim van Gaal in the 28th minute of the match. After 37 minutes, Izaak Bouma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lemele and the Vareburen V.V. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Izaak Bouma kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Vareburen V.V.'s David Kuipers got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vareburen V.V.'s Mitchell Degens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim van Gaal in the 42nd minute of play. Roy van der Weerden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Kuipers in the 44th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lemele defense, Bob Vennegoor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roy van der Weerden. The Lemele fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roy van der Weerden should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wim van Gaal to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim van Gaal in the 52nd minute of play forced Vareburen V.V.'s goalkeeper Mitchell Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roy van der Weerden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Vennegoor, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Roy van der Weerden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Kuipers in the 59th minute of the match. Pascal Douwes charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascal Douwes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lemele getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Pascal Douwes hit a great ball. David Kuipers kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Bob Vennegoor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Domenik Dorenbosch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Mitchell Degens managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Lemele's Pascal Douwes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Wim van Gaal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mitchell Degens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim van Gaal in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute Wim van Gaal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell Degens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute Pascal Douwes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell Degens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes Vareburen V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Mark Huizen. Vareburen V.V.'s Mitchell Degens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Vareburen V.V. from getting a goal against them. If Wim van Gaal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vareburen V.V. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lemele for a fine match.
