Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jan Assendelft got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Bob Vennegoor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Kuipers in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiaan Koekkoek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 15 minutes, Bob Vennegoor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vareburen V.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Bob Vennegoor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute Jan Assendelft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell Degens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Luikens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Mitchell Degens made a huge save. Bob Vennegoor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gerard Luikens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christiaan Koekkoek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Vennegoor, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Jan Assendelft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Kuipers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Kuipers in the 43rd minute of play forced Schei HC's goalkeeper Christiaan Koekkoek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerard Luikens struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Mitchell Degens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schei HC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Kuipers made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Schei HC's goalkeeper Christiaan Koekkoek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Kuipers might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christiaan Koekkoek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Kuipers ran back to his position shaking his head. Bob Vennegoor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christiaan Koekkoek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bob Vennegoor got free with Christiaan Koekkoek in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Kuipers was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With an all-out effort, Vareburen V.V.'s Christiaan Koekkoek threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from David Kuipers, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 68th minute, Bob Vennegoor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 69 played minutes Schei HC got a freekick which was hit by Sjaak Oldenbeuving. Mitchell Degens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Assendelft in the 81st minute of play. David Kuipers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Bob Vennegoor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vareburen V.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bob Vennegoor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiaan Koekkoek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Schei HC's Aad Ridder got a free kick in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Assendelft in the 96th minute of play forced Vareburen V.V.'s goalkeeper Mitchell Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
