The supporters of Sassenheim FC booed when Boyle FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo de Bruin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Boyle FC's goalkeeper Dirk Overmars had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorn Wolf. Sassenheim FC's Henk Jorna shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dirk Overmars but with some difficulty. Boyle FC's Dirk Overmars proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Boyle FC from getting a goal against them. Mathijs van Dijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Overmars having to interfere. Tom Collins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Bertus Zoetmulder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorn Wolf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Overmars having to interfere. Hubert Zadelhoff hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Tom Collins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertus Zoetmulder having to interfere. Bertus Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sander Stroeve in the 32nd minute of play. Boyle FC's Dirk Overmars played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathijs van Dijk in the 36th minute of play. Mathijs van Dijk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dirk Overmars read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sander Stroeve made a kick off. Bertus Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sander Stroeve in the 51st minute of the match. Tom Collins might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bertus Zoetmulder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tom Collins ran back to his position shaking his head. Tom Collins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Bertus Zoetmulder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tom Collins got free with Bertus Zoetmulder in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tom Collins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Bertus Zoetmulder made a huge save. In the 73rdth minute of the game Mathijs van Dijk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boyle FC's Dirk Overmars was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tjeerd Baptist hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Boyle FC's Tjeerd Baptist got a free kick in the 81st minute. Tom Collins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Sander Stroeve dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bertus Zoetmulder, 1-1.
