Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wouter Valentijn kicked off to start the match. Ab Vondel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Weken in the 5th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Dennis Weken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Internet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 7th minute, Wouter Valentijn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Bernard Pilage managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Internet's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Pilage was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ab Vondel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dennis Weken came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the FC Internet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Weken couldn't finish the play. Dennis Weken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taco Oortwijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab Vondel having to interfere. Ab Vondel came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Internet's Taco Oortwijn. But to his dismay, Taco Oortwijn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Weken in the 33rd minute of play forced Rijkevoort FC's goalkeeper Ab Vondel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rijkevoort FC's zone, Taco Oortwijn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ab Vondel came out of the goal and Taco Oortwijn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dennis Weken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab Vondel having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernard Pilage during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes FC Internet got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Pilage. 42 minutes into the game, Steven Roewen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Internet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rijkevoort FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Internet's Steven Roewen got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute, Werner Schophuis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Rijkevoort FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard Pilage came free, but Ab Vondel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half FC Internet were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dennis Weken made the kick off in the second half. Taco Oortwijn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Ab Vondel made a huge save. Werner Schophuis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ab Vondel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rijkevoort FC's Ab Vondel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Rijkevoort FC from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rijkevoort FC's goalkeeper Ab Vondel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Taco Oortwijn might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ab Vondel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Taco Oortwijn ran back to his position shaking his head. Taco Oortwijn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ab Vondel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Werner Schophuis struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ab Vondel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Internet. Taco Oortwijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab Vondel having to interfere. Dennis Weken struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Ab Vondel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Internet. Werner Schophuis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Internet's Johannes de Jong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Veltrop in the 75th minute of play. After 76 minutes, Reinier Meinders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rijkevoort FC and the FC Internet players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th minute, Bernard Pilage fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ab Vondel, passed just outside the right post. Ab Vondel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Weken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Werner Schophuis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Werner Schophuis got free with Ab Vondel in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Taco Oortwijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab Vondel having to interfere.
