Koen Wensing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wouter Valentijn in the 10th minute of the match. Mathias Veltrop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Koen Wensing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iwan Hulsebos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab Vondel having to interfere. Iwan Hulsebos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Rijkevoort FC's Wouter Valentijn ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Koen Wensing. Koen Wensing yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rijkevoort FC's Wouter Valentijn got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Kavelingen getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Mark de Swart hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Wouter Valentijn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koen Wensing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rijkevoort FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Klaas Kort in the 48th minute.

A collision led to Kavelingen getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Rik Masker hit a great ball. Rijkevoort FC's Ab Vondel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Rijkaard in the 55th minute of play. Rijkevoort FC's Mathias Veltrop got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 59 minutes, Mathias Veltrop managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rijkevoort FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Veltrop was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute Iwan Rijkaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ab Vondel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 minutes, Lucien Fens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rijkevoort FC and the Kavelingen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lucien Fens kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Wouter Valentijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wouter Valentijn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rijkevoort FC's Wouter Valentijn in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kavelingen's goalie prevented a goal. Koen Wensing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wouter Valentijn's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Iwan Rijkaard kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Wouter Valentijn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Koen Wensing. Kavelingen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wouter Valentijn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Iwan Hulsebos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wouter Valentijn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Koen Wensing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Kavelingen's Iwan Hulsebos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ab Vondel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Kavelingen. Steve Fuchs stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ab Vondel. 2-1. If Iwan Rijkaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Iwan Rijkaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ab Vondel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iwan Rijkaard struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Ab Vondel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kavelingen. Mathias Veltrop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koen Wensing having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rijkevoort FC had played much better football throughout.
